Overview
The Yamaha Ego Gear is the stylish and practical sports utility scooter built for the modern urban commuter. The latest 2026 model, the Ego Gear Pro Hybrid, is Yamaha's first hybrid scooter for the Malaysian market. Powered by a 125cc Blue Core Hybrid, air-cooled, SOHC single-cylinder engine, it delivers 8.4 PS at 6,500 rpm and 9.9 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm through a CVT automatic transmission. The Power Assist function provides extra power when accelerating from a standstill or uphill, working with the Smart Motor Generator (SMG) for silent starts and smooth Stop & Start operation. Convenience features include an 18.6-litre underseat storage, Y-Connect smartphone connectivity, LCD instrument panel, and USB charging. For 2026, the Ego Gear Pro Hybrid is available in Stellar White, Navy Green, and Cosmic Blue.
